The Sunrise over the water will grapple your attention away from the busy marine animals. After a 30-minute paddle (approximately), you beach your kayak on Double Island. Over chilled refreshments and juicy fruits the panorama of Palm Cove unfolds and tide permitting, a walk along the sand bank to look for more marine life.

After spending half an hour on the island its time to depart for the kayak back to Palm Cove arriving around 7.30am. It is the most exhilarating way to start your day.

The Cairns Tropical Zoo is the largest and most diverse wildlife attraction in Tropical North Queensland. Set amidst six hectares of tropically landscaped gardens, the zoo is locally owned and operated. It is home to hundreds of native and exotic species, many of which are indigenous to the northern wet tropics.

You will be picked up from your accommodation and commence the drive north along one of the most renowned scenic coastal roads in Australia, towards the World Heritage Listed Cape Tribulation and Daintree National Parks.

Enjoy a brief tour of Port Douglas and Four Mile Beach before travelling onto the award winning Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary for "Morning tea with the Birds". The Rainforest Habitat provides the only opportunity to observe up close, a huge range of unique Australian animals, birds, fauna and flora in three different environments. There is also an opportunity to cuddle a Koala and pat a Kangaroo.

Leaving the Rainforest Habitat behind, your journey continues along the Captain Cook Highway to the majestic Daintree River, that you will cross over by Cable Ferry. Enjoy a spectacular drive over rainforest-clad mountains stopping at Alexandra lookout with views looking out to the Coral Sea and the mouth of the Daintree River - the perfect photo opportunity. Deep into the national park take time to visit one of the specially constructed rainforest and mangrove walks. Your guide will enlighten you to the secrets of the rainforest with their informative interpretation of the rainforest, its foods, medicines and history during your guided walk.

Stroll along Cape Tribulation Beach to the headland that provides magnificent views of where the Rainforest meets the Reef. Following the walks indulge in a delicious lunch.

After lunch, your 1 hour river cruise on the majestic Daintree River will commence. You can spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife that inhabit the area. Green Island is a beautiful coral cay which enjoys world acclaim as a tropical paradise on Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The island is a protected Marine National Park, readily identified by its emerald rainforest surrounded by white sandy beaches and magnificent coral reefs. The marine life includes endless varieties of colorful fish, turtles, giant clams, shells, starfish, sea anemones and much more.

'Reef Rocket' is a brand new state-of-the-art high speed catamaran, 24 meters in length with a capacity for 120 passengers. Traveling in air-conditioned comfort, it takes only 45 minutes to travel to Green Island which is 15 nautical miles (27 kilometers) from Cairns. This half day reef cruises allows over 2 hours on Green Island.

On boarding the 'Reef Rocket' at the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns, snorkeling gear is given to those participating in this activity and enroute to Green Island, there is a snorkeling demonstration showing how to use the equipment. On the journey to Green Island passengers are given times and details about meeting their various activities, such as glass bottom boat tours, semi-submarine coral viewing tours, scuba diving and supervised snorkeling trips.

Passengers may visit Green Island Resort where you can browse through the shops and make use of the facilities including fresh water showers, change rooms and restrooms. The train will stop at a viewing point of the Barron Gorge, giving you the opportunity to take the perfect photo, before travelling on towards Kuranda.

After some free time, you will make your way to the Skyrail departure terminal for your ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Once again, this is a great opportunity for you to develop your photography skills, so have your camera ready as you glide over the rainforest canopy and descend, taking in views of Cairns' beautiful coastline.

From lush tropical rainforest to the crystal clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef, you will be transferred to the helicopter depot for your spectacular thirty minute helicopter flight to the Outer Reefs of the Great Barrier Reef. The flight lands on a heli pontoon at Hastings Reef.

From the pontoon, you will be transferred to the high speed vessel, Osprey V, where you will indulge in a delicious Tropical lunch (vegetarians catered for). After lunch you have over two hours to snorkel and swim.

After crossing the river, we travel through dense rainforest before visiting the Daintree Environmental Center. Here an expert guide will take you on a boardwalk whilst explaining some of the fascinating secrets of one of the worlds oldest rainforests.

Journey from Cairns into the Undara Volcanic National Park, site of the Undara Lava Fields. 'Undara' is an Aboriginal word for 'a long way'. There is time to relax and take in the serenity of the Australian bush whilst enjoying a buffet lunch at the Lava Lodge.

Bird life abounds in this area with over 120 species of birds in the region to delight bird watchers and there is abundant wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies and emus. Our Savannah Guide will guide us into one of the Lava Tubes. Some 190,000 years ago when this major crater in the McBride Volcanic Province erupted, its molten lava flowed down ancient river beds to form rivers of lava. The top layer of the lava cooled forming a hard crust to become the roof of a tunnel as the lava drained.

These Lava Tubes are the oldest standing and best preserved system anywhere in the world. The lava flow is the longest from one single Volcano, stretching over 160 kilometers. Over time, some of the roof collapsed exposing the tunnels in places and allowing the preservation of rainforest plants which were once part of Gondwana some 300 million years ago. Within the tubes themselves are unique ecosystems supporting a variety of unusual animals and insects. This afternoon you return to Cairns by coach.

Situated on the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Agincourt Reef provides a sheltered anchorage and the prefect spot for you to snorkel, dive, and view the spectacular coral formations from the semi submersible coral viewing vessel. You can also watch the fish feeding from a unique viewing platform and underwater observatory.

It takes you through silent backwaters where crocodiles can normally be seen basking on the muddy banks.
