Leave the busy tourist town of Puerto Vallarta and venture to San Sebastian. Situated amongst the Sierra Madre mountain range, San Sebastian is the true Mexico that many tourists fail to see!

A short 15 minute flight away and you will be far away from the throes of bustling tourist centers. The aircraft is especially designed to permit maximum visibility for all passengers. En route you will marvel from large picture windows at a cascading waterfall in the heart of the Sierra range, see remote mountain villages locked away in time and mountains carpeted in dense tropical vegetation.

To arrive in San Sebastian del Oeste is to step back in time. This antiquated village surrounded by aromatic pine forests, dates back to 1605 and was made famous centuries ago by its plentiful silver mines. As one of the oldest mining towns in Mexico, San Sebastian reached its glory in the 1700's during which time it was a highly prosperous Colonial town. It now remains as a living museum to how villagers lived and worked in a remote mountain township.

Today, with only 600 inhabitants, scattered examples of its traditional colonial architecture, nowadays merging with a colorful village square, quaint cobblestone streets, passing mules and a sleepy way of life far removed from the rest of the world. Indeed the rare beauty and significance of particular areas of the village have deservedly been recognized by the placement of a protection order from UNESCO.

Departing Puerto Vallarta, you will travel to the south side of Nayarit state to Rincon de Guayabitos, where you will enjoy your delicious breakfast. You will continue to Las Varas village and there, you'll detour toward the coastal road all the way to San Blas, driving through small towns and fishing villages with farming fields and exuberant vegetation. Your guide will give you information about the area as you go by. Along the road you will also stop to take pictures of some of these places.

Once in San Blas, you'll take a boat ride for about 10 miles in to the mangroves swamp, up to water springs where you'll visit a crocodile farm, and learn about birds, water creatures and crocodiles of the areas. Back to firm land you will visit downtown San Blas to take pictures and see the old church, and from there you'll drive up to a hill side at the entrance of the town to see the ruin of the Fort of San Basilio, where you will also be informed about the history.

As you return back you will stop at a restaurant in Batanchen bay where you will have Iunch of the typical food of the state of Nayarit. After all this adventure you'll travel back to Puerto Vallarta and be dropped back at your hotel.

The Tequila Tour will take you to several places north of Puerto Vallarta, through Mountains and Volcanoes. You will make a stop in Rincon de Guayabitos with time for breakfast. Then connecting to the Cactlan Valley where Compostela is found, a colonial city with a beautiful panoramic view. Continuing with the visit to the lava fields of the Black Giant, also known as El Ceboruco Volcano, one of the 9 active volcanoes in Mexico.

After that, meet the Pyramid Settlements of Ixtlan del Rio, one of the few round pyramids of the country that were built by the Mexican ancestors to honor Ehecatl, the God of Wind.
