Depart Te Anau, the "Gateway to Fiordland" and enter the Fiordland National Park, to be mesmerized by the grandeur of this region. Here you will take a spectacular Milford Sound Red Boat cruise on the majestic Milford Sound, where you will see the wonders of Mitre Peak, glacier scarred rock walls that rise 1200 meters (3937 feet) vertically from the sea and waterfalls that tumble from hanging valleys and crash into the sound far below. After your cruise, reboard your coach for the return journey to Te Anau.

Hidden in the south-west corner of New Zealand's South Island, deep in the heart of the Fiordland National Park, lies Doubtful Sound. Ten times larger than Milford Sound it is an unspoiled wilderness of many moods, one minute clear, blue and sun drenched, the next mysterious and mist shrouded. A wild place of dense rainforest, rugged peaks, cascading waterfalls and deep still waters? quiet, serene and green!
Your Doubtful Sound adventure begins as you cruise the crystal clear waters of Lake Manapouri. Then it's over Wilmot Pass, stopping along the way to experience some of Fiordland's densest rainforest and to view the colorful alpine moss gardens.
On reaching Deep Cove, you will board a spacious catamaran for a three hour cruise that takes in the most dramatic scenery of Doubtful Sound. The skipper provides a detailed commentary and point out highlights. Keep a look out for wildlife as bottlenose dolphins frequently come alongside the vessel, fur seals bask on the rocks around the fiord and rare penguins can at times be observed.
When you discover Doubtful Sound you will be struck by its silence ? a silence broken only by birdsong, or maybe the rushing of a distant waterfall.

Milford Sound is arguably the most scenic destination in New Zealand. Located in 3 million acres of the Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound is a "must-see" for any traveler. Magnificent untouched native forests and bush, pristine waterways and lakes, glacier and high peaks.

After departing Te Anau the scenery really begins as you are driven along the lake. Lake Te Anau is the largest lake in the South Island.
Upon entering the Fiordland National Park, which is the largest National Park in NZ you will travel up along side the Eglington River to three mountain lakes at the head of the Eglington Valley. During this part of the journey you will make the fist of our many sightseeing stops that also allow for some great photo opportunities. You have a couple of different locations for lunch and will endeavor to select the best spot on the day. There are some fantastic walks in the area and this is a great opportunity to experience the beautiful alpine beech forest up close.
After lunch you head towards the Homer Tunnel, taking in some incredible mountain views while driving along side the crystal clear waters of the Hollyford river. You will make some great scenic stops along this stretch of the road, at his time of day there are few other buses on the road. Once through the Homer Tunnel, you will wind our way down the Cleddau Valley. At this time you arrive in an area called "Fiordland" but are visiting a "Sound", the difference will be explained.

This summer you can experience the first section of the world famous Milford Track as a one day adventure suitable for walkers of most ages and fitness levels.
Following a coach transfer to Te Anau Downs, cruise to the head of beautiful Lake Te Anau and the start of the track. On your walk you will follow the Clinton River for a short way, cross a swing bridge and then on through ancient beech forest to the Clinton Hikers Hut. Lunch is enjoyed beside a mountain stream or at the Hut.
An experienced guide points out interesting human and natural history of the track along the way and there is plenty of time for you to relax, take photos and view the bird life.

Upon arrival at Milford Sound, you will board the Milford Mariner for the overnight cruise. The vessel explores in a leisurely way many points of interest, with plenty of time available to view waterfalls, rain forest, mountains and wildlife with the experienced nature guide on board.
The Milford Mariner offers you a very special dinner, bed and breakfast experience. With a nature guide at hand you can explore in the tender craft and kayaks or simply relax on deck. After the days activities, enjoy a delicious evening buffet in the spacious saloon before retiring to your private cabin. The Milford Mariner caters for visitors who enjoy comfort combined with activity. The vessel has been purpose built to accommodate passengers in private cabins with en suite bathrooms.
