On this Seven Day Grand Tour of Greece, you will visit archaeological sites in Mycenae, Epidaurus - theatre famous for its remarkable acoustics, Olympia and Delphi. Enjoy a visit to the breathtaking Meteora and the sacred Macedonian town of Dion.

You will be able to explore the largest town in Northern Greece - Thessaloniki and Pella, Alexander the Great's capital.

Starting from Athens, you will drive westwards along the scenic coast, until you reach the Corinth Canal with its breathtaking views.

Drive past the beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza and see countless coves. You will spend 90 minutes at the archeological site of Ancient Corinth where you can enjoy splendid views of the Saronic Gulf.

Corinth was a town right situated where southern and northern Greece join together. In Greek mythology, Corinth was where Jason and Medea lived, and is the city where St Paul lived and preached for two years.

There will be a short stop at Kehreai before returning back to Athens.

Visit the archaeological site at Mycenae and then on to visit Nauplia.

You will pass through the central Peloponnese area passing the cities of Megalopolis and Tripolis then on to Epidaurus where you will visit the archaeological site and the Theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics. You will see the archaeological site and museum in Olympia and Delphi.

Your evening tour begins with a pleasant scenic drive through the illuminated boulevards of Athens, as far as Piraeus, Greece's principal commercial port.

Continue to Marina Zea, one of the busiest yacht harbors in the Mediterranean and home port to many luxury pleasure yachts belonging to Greece?s ship owning and international jet-set communities.

From here, a short drive to Mikrolimano, another picturesque yacht and fishing boat harbor, home to the ex Royal Yacht Club and many fine waterfront seafood restaurants.

You finally return to Athens and the renowned "Plaka" district, located around the base of the Acropolis, for dinner with a live floor show at a typical Greek taverna.

Visit the archaeological site and the Museum at Delphi and enjoy some leisure time to explore this exciting city.

Visit the breathtaking Meteora and Thermopylae. This area is considered one of the most beautiful parts of mainland Greece, with it's monasteries built on the top of rock towers and the fantastic views.

Drive by the central Greek towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala before you arrive in beautiful Kalambaka.

Enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the cities principal modern and classical sights.

Your tour includes an overview of the modern city and striking contrasts to the remains of its glorious past. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896).

See vistas of the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace), government buildings and elegant homes. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square.

In contrast, you will visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the crowning beauty and glory that was Athens, the Acropolis with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. You also visit the Acropolis Museum.

Driving along the coastal road past the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza and countless caves, one has a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf.

On arrival at Cape Sounion you will be greeted with the magnificent site of the Temple of Poseidon perched atop a small hill. Take in the spectacular views of the Aegean Sea from this well positioned vantage point.

Drive through Levadia and Arachova en-route to Delphi, where you have a 1.5 hour stop.

You will drive through central towns of Greece like Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala, crossing the Thessalian plain.

This area is considered one of the most beautiful parts of mainland Greece, with it's monasteries built on the top of rock towers and the fantastic views.

Drive through Levadia and Arachova (famous for its bright multi colored carpets). Arrive in Levadia at 10:30am for about 20 minutes, then continue onto Delphi. Arrive in Delphi at 12:00pm (noon), the ancient sanctuary of Apollo.

Visit the Museum where you can see among other archaeological treasures, the unique bronze Charioteer, then proceed through the sacred way to the Athenian treasury.

This visit will end at 1:30pm, when you will drive to a hotel for lunch. Visit the Temple of Apollo and the Castalia Spring, before at 3:00pm, you return to Athens following the same route as the morning, with a stop again at Levadia.

Transfer by motorcoach from Athens to Piraeus port and embarkment on the cruise ship.

Sail for the island of Hydra where you have free time for strolling, shopping, and swimming. In ancient times, the island was known as Hydrea, which was a reference to the springs on the island. In the early afternoon sail for the island of Egina passing through the narrow strait separating the Peloponnesian Coast from the island of Poros.

Upon arrival in Egina (Aegina) you can either join the excursion to the Temple of Aphaia (extra cost) or walk around the main town. Egina is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece in the Saronic Gulf, 31 miles (50 km) from Athens. Tradition derives the name from Aegina, the mother of Aeacus, who was born in and ruled the island. Due to its close proximity to Athens, it is a popular getaway during the summer months.

Lunch is served on board. Then sailing to Poros for a short visit. Poros is a small Greek island-pair in the southern part of the Agrosaronic Gulf, at a distance about 32 miles (48 kilometers) south from Piraeus and separated from the Peloponnese by a 200 meter wide sea channel. Its surface is about 12 square miles (31 square kilometers). Visit Ancient Trizina or the ruins of the Russian Dockyard or a romantic stroll in the Lemon Forest.

Finally rembark for the sail back to Piraeus port. Arrival at Piraeus port and transfer back to Athens.

Fly from Athens to Thessaloniki and visit the most interesting museum in Thessaloniki.

Visit Pella - Alexander the Great's capital, the excavations in Lefkadia and the tomb of King Phillip in Vergina.

On your return to Athens visit the town of Thermopylae, famous for it's ancient battle.
