Snorkeling is one of the best ways to discover Aruba's spectacular underwater world. Explore one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean aboard a luxury catamaran. This 2 hour Snorkel Sail will take you to two amazing snorkel stops.

At Catalina Bay, a nice shallow area ideal for those who have not snorkeled in a long time, you will explore the shallow waters and enjoy a variety of colorful tropical fish and several species of corals, including star, brain and willowy sea rods, in this diverse area.

Then onto the famous Antilla Ship Wreck, a 400 ft. long German freighter resting in 60 ft. of water. When the Germans invaded Holland during World War ll, this German freighter was scuttled by its Captain on purpose to avoid confiscation by the Dutch in Aruba. The wreck is now surrounded with colorful fish and corals. Fish include: The Parrot Fish, Barracudas, Fresh Angel Fish, Yellow Tail Snapper, Grunt, Blue Tang, Butterfly Fish, Green Moray , Puffer Fish, Sergeant Mayor, Southern Stingray, Queen Flounder, Stoplight Parrotfish and Trumpet Fish.

The catamaran has a top speed of 35 miles per hour in Aruba's famous winds, but still offers an ultra-stable ride. It also features two marine bathrooms, two sunning nets, plenty of seating space, stereo music and a fully stocked bar. A special swimming ladder makes it easy for passengers to step into the water for snorkeling and a there's a great waterslide too! A friendly crew is always on hand to make the sail a wonderful experience.

Aruba Numismatic Museum

Aruba Numismatic Museum

On November 24th of 1955, on his 36th birthday, Mario Odor, Aruba ’s famous coin collector, was digging in his flower garden when he found two old coins. One of them was a one penny of 1790 and one half-penny of 1788, both of them where “Tradesmen” copper Irish tokens. This was the sign to him that collecting was his duty and he took this very seriously by educate members of his family in the tradition of coin collecting. Today his wife, son, daughters and granddaughter are still managing his legacy at the Numismatic Museum of Aruba. You might be welcomed by his next generations who will gladly guide you through this spectacle of money history.

Collection

Timeline 1499- present:  coins circulated in the Caribbean in a time when colonists, traders, merchants and even pirates traveled the seas. The two coins he found sparkled Mario’s idea of keep collecting coins and papermoney, without stopping, ever, till the day he died.  His son and granddaughter, both Numismatists, took his idea to another level and made researches to present Aruba ’s timeline through Numismatics.

The Aruba Numismatic Museum was established in 1975 and lodges the private collection of Mr. Odor and is the first museum established on Aruba .

The museum contains over 45.000 different pieces covering over 400 countries. This fantastic collection contains approximately over 110 different collections on their own, for example: primitive, strange, zoo, proof, counter stamp, over struck, mini, chop-coins, errors, leprosarium, gold, ration, F.A.O. dollars & crowns, commemoratives, center holed, scalloped, square, wooden-coins, tokens, medals, food-coupons and much more.

Aruba Red Sail Sports Resort Dive Course 4 hours

Learn to dive in Aruba in a day!

Learn to dive in just one day! Red Sail Sports Resort Course is perfect for the adventurer who would just like to try Scuba Diving. It's also ideal for those who would like to go diving and do not have the time for a full certification.

The Pasa Bon, meaning 'have a good time', boasts 750 total horsepower and is FAST. Measuring 48 feet from pulpit to dive platform, this sleek new craft has a comfortable 392 square feet of open deck space to accommodate divers and sixty-four scuba tanks. The boat is built with easy access to the dive platform featuring twin drop down ladders, a two tiered photo table for camera and video equipment, a restroom and fresh water showers for rinsing off.

Includes two hours of instruction in the pool. The theory session teaches students the basic rules for scuba diving, such as dealing with pressure, breathing on scuba, and how to use the equipment. Then you will take a 2 hour/1-tank open water dive. The dive boat goes to a shallow reef or wreck and an instructor will accompany you at all times underwater. Dives are in the 20-30' range. All instruction and necessary equipment is included.

The Seaworld Explorer is a state-of-the-art semi-submarine developed in Australia for use on the Great Barrier Reef. Aruba Red Sail Sports One or Two Tank Scuba Dive 2 or 4 Hours

Diving in Aruba is famous for the spectacular shipwrecks and interesting coral formations that dominate Aruba's underwater realm. This includes the 400 ft. Antilla wreck, one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean. Most of Aruba's dive sites lie along the protected western and southern coasts, a short distance from the hotels on Palm Beach.

Aruba's waters are rich in exotic marine life, including stingrays, moray eels, manta rays, barracudas and yellow tail. A large, shallow sand plateau surrounds Aruba making boat travel the most convenient method of reaching the off-shore reefs. Interesting coral formations are found from shallow water depths of 20 to 100 feet, with little or no current and flat surface conditions.
