Necochea is a port city in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, located on the Atlantic coast, about 500 km from Buenos Aires City and some 120 km south west from Mar del Plata. It has about 89,000 inhabitants as per the .
Provincially it makes up the majority of Necochea Partido, a partido of Buenos Aires Province.
