Sanur
Sanur is a small town on the east side of Bali. The town is due east of Kuta and despite the abundance of restaurants and accommodation, it has a a quieter and more relaxed feel to it.
Do
Spa — a day at any of spas in Sanur is exactly what you would expect during your stay in Bali, full service treatment steeped in Balinese tradition. Take advantage of any opportunity to enjoy a spa during your stay, the cost here is at least half what you would pay in North America or Europe.

Eat
For local food, try Night Market. It is about 2 km from hotel zone (Mercure, Hyatt), bemo costs 10.000 rps (June 2007), for walkers just follow the main street. As for hygiene, food is absolutely save. You may be able to remember the local names nasi for rice and mie for noodles, but with the rest, it is easier just to show what you want to eat. Expect 1 serving for maximum 10.000 rps, the same price for large beer (local, but surprisingly good).
Nice experience is warung - a kind of 3-wheels cart with food, my favorite is soup bakso. Expect bill 5.000 rps. Sometimes locals bring you chairs frome their homes or shops, so you can enjoy your dinner directly on rush street sitting with loclals on wooden chairs.
Sleep
Sanur has a wide variety of accommodation to suit any style, ranging from beach front resorts to tiny bungalows tucked in between palm trees.
Budget
Mid-rangeSativa Sanur — Situated in between the beach and the main road, two levels of standard rooms are arranged around lush gardens and a swimming pool. The hotel is quiet, clean and has fine service in addition to a pleasant morning breakfast. Nightly rates range $60 - $90 with reduced rates for package stays.
Splurge
The Majapahit Villas, . Four 3-bedroom villas located on the beach in Ketewell. The villas each feature an exapansive private swimming pool and are fully staffed.Rates run from $450-560 per night (varying on the season and the villa choosen).
The Sanur Residence, . Three 3-bedroom villas located on the beach forming a 9-bedroom estate. The villas were built for a large family are normally rented in a block of at least 6 bedrooms (giving the exclusive use of the entire estate) along with its private swimming pool and is fully staffed with cooks, maids, gardeners etc. Rates run from $675 to 2000/night (dependent on the season).

Visit the biggest Hindu Temple in Indonesia. Dated back to the 9th Century, the temple is considered to be Java's most elegant and awe-inspiring temple, and noted for the huge proportion of its 47 m/152 ft central Siva Temple with voluptus statue of Durga standing in its chamber. Its parapets are adorned with well-preserved bas reliefs depicting the famous Ramayana Epic.
It was built around 850 century by either Rakai Pikatan, king of the second Mataram dynasty or Balitung Maha Sambu, during the Sanjaya dynasty. Not long after its construction, the temple was abandoned and began to deteriorate. Reconstruction of the compound began in 1918, and the main building was completed in around 1953.

The main island of Lombok is surrounded by many Gilis (small island). Three of them are Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan off the north west coast - each with superb, white sandy beaches, clear water, coral reef, brilliantly colored fish and one of the best snorkeling spots on Lombok.
Gili Air is a charming, laid back island ideal for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing or for a quiet honeymoon or just anybody who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Gili Trawangan is the biggest island and also called "Party Island". Gili Meno, still the quietest island and less popular compared to Gili Air and Gili Trawanagan but has superb snorkeling off pure white sand beaches. We take you to two Gilis (Gili Air and Gili Meno or Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno) by a private chartered outrigger boat to see amazing and magnificent coral reefs.
Get off the boat and walk along the beach or ride a pony cart as there is no cars or even motorbikes on all three Gilis. Enjoy your lunch (not included) on one of many beach side restaurants.
