Tochni Village 6.33/10
Cyprus Villages was established in 1987 by Sofronis Potamitis, in an effort to revive rural communities and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days. With loving care, several abandoned and ruined family houses were thoroughly renovated to provide comfort without sacrificing their original, rustic character. Special interest groups from abroad soon discovered the natural charm of these houses nestling in the tranquil countryside. A growing number of visitors now keeps these quaint villages alive, by offering the younger generations an additional source of income. Accommodation The lodgings are dispersed in different villages across the island. Each one of these villages has its distinct attractions and atmosphere, yet they all offer a heartfelt welcome to a lifestyle closely linked to nature and tradition. Cyprus Villages offers you a choice of studios, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments with self-catering facilities in a well-equipped kitchenette, and central heating/air-conditioning upon request. Notice the thick walls, small windows, stone or wooden staircases so typical of our island’s architecture of yesteryear. On your veranda, patio or garden you can relax with a drink or a book any time of the day. In every village a swimming pool with sun beds is always within reach and reserved for our guests. Upon request, breakfast can be included in the terms of accommodation. In Tochni itself, our half board guests will enjoy the authentic traditional Cypriot dishes of our Tochni Taverna. ... more
