Kerava is a town in Central Uusimaa. It's located about 30 kilometres to the north from Helsinki and is part of the greater metropolitan area.

Sibelius' Home and Art Nouveau

Enjoy a cultural tour to two well-known museums not far from Helsinki. The first visit is the Art Nouveau style Hvittr?sk, the former studio and home of the architect trio Eliel Saarinen, Armas Lindgren and Herman Gesellius. The house is built of logs and natural stone in 1903 and stands midst forest on a hill over-looking a beautiful lake Vittr?sk.

After visiting Hvittr?sk the tour continues to Tuusula, where a large number of Finnish artists settled along the shores of Lake Tuusula at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. These artists created a distinctive community; one of them was the famous composer Jean Sibelius. A visit to Ainola, the home and today a museum of Jean Sibelius. Ainola is preserved as it was during Sibelius' time.
