WORLD NORTH AMERICA USA ARIZONA YUMA

Yuma

Yuma is a city in, and county seat of, Yuma County in Arizona.

See

The Yuma Crossing Park is an interesting place to visit for a couple of hours. Also, the Yuma Territorial Prison is a historical site that is from the same time period as the Crossing. Which by the way, shows how people crossed the Colorado River during the gold rush.

Eat

Yuma is a good place to get Mexican food if not accustomed to the region. Here are a couple of good suggestions:

Chili Pepper (928) 783-4213 <--Take out #. Addicting Mexican Food. Kind of a Fast food place, but homegrown. Great choice for a quick lunch, or early dinner. Closes at 8PM.

Mi Rancho (928) 344-6903 Slightly soft taste as far as Mexican goes. Mild Salsa.

El Papagallo (928) 343-9451 Slightly more Expensive than most Mexican food, but good none the less. Hot Salsa, mild available. They charge per glass for refills.

Chretin's (928) 782-1291 Very vivid taste. Mild Salsa

Higher Class restaurants include:

Hunter Steakhouse (928) 783-1260 Great dinner salads. Also, Great Steaks.

AH SO Sushi & Steak Great Teppanyaki grill, and Sushi Bar. Regular Seating available. (928) 329-7443

Juleannas Patio Cafe (928) 317-1961

Ciao Bella (928) 783-3900

River City Grill (928) 782-7988

Nice places for a romantic evening:

The Yuma Grill (928) 782-5815 Very secluded place with good food. People who live in the City think it is just for guests of the Hotel, but it is open to everyone. Also the reason why it is quiet. By the Yuma Palms Mall behind the Shilo Inn.

Maxi's Mexican Food (928) 783-1260 In a bad location (hard to find), but has great food. Almost always slow. Good for a budgeted date.

Drink

Manske's is a Bar with a little more of a Hispanic Influence, but a variety of music. Small dance floor, pool tables, large bar, and tables to sit at.

La Fiesta is a Hispanic dance club, and bar.

Ron's Place is a nice Hip-Hop dance atmosphere for the younger crowd (21-40.)

Jimmie Dee's is another dance club\bar that is for a little older crowd. Normally they have both a D.J. and a Live band playing on weekends. During the day (happy hour) it doubles as a Hang out for Businessmen\Women .

The Platinum Cabarett is a strip bar that provides adequet entertainment. Most Fights are on big screens. Also, Wed nights are coin nights..Should be good for all the businessmen that are in town durring the week.

Toppers is another strip bar that provides decent entertainment. "Topper Tuesdays" are good, every beer is just a dollar.

Uni Irish Pub a great place for great people! Nice music and nice drinks.
