After driving along the Lake Geneva you will pass the Col du Pillon. Embark immediately and board the Cable Car Glacier 3000 for a flight over the snow-capped summits. This is a rare and unusual opportunity to walk over a glacier. Enjoy a coffee break at the panoramic restaurant, work of the architect Mario Botta, who designed the San Francisco Museum of Art. You will then stop in the worldwide known village of Gstaad on your return.

From the white of the snow slopes to the blue of the lake by passing through green pasturelands: the charming road of the Saanenland region offers you a mosaic of colours in postcard-perfect images.

Glacier 3000:
The highest peak of the Lake Geneva Alps and the Saanenland. Experience breathtaking views over the most renowned peaks in the Alps (Mont-Blanc, Cervin, Eiger, Jungfraujoch). Upon arrival in from July to August choose to join a Husky Ride or Snow Bus for an additional cost (to be paid directly on the day). The Glacier 3000 is included in the cost of the tour.

This excursion starts with a comfortable ride in a modern deluxe coach on scenic routes to a most enchanting alpine world of the Bernese Oberland.

After a short interlude in Interlaken you reach Lauterbrunnen where we board the Wengernalp rack railway for a 45-minute trip up through idyllic alpine meadows and forests to the little village of Wengen, and then further on up to Kleine Scheidegg (2061 m / 6762 ft). Here you will find yourself in front of the most magnificent mountain backdrop of Mts Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

The imposing Eiger North Face is within touching distance. Time for lunch, relax or do some hiking on the well-signed hiking trails for all levels of competence. The unaccompanied trip back down to the valley follows the north-west slopes of the Eiger to the famous resort of Grindelwald. (During winter season the tour is fully guided also the down hill train ride to Grindelwald). Return to Lucerne at approximately 7:00pm.

You will enjoy some stunning landscapes on the coach journey to Stans, right in the heart of Switzerland. On an 1893 Vintage Old-timer you reach Kalti (unaccompanied). The journey towards the peak (6300ft/1900m) continues by cable-car. You will be mesmerized by the unique 360 degrees panorama view of 100 km (60 miles) of alpine peaks and ten Swiss lakes.

Enjoy a circular walk through the protected flower reserve and see marmots (typical animals of the Alps) roaming in the spacious parkland. Visit the first Revolving Restaurant of Central Switzerland. This restaurant in an absolute delight!

With three hours for you to do as you please, there is plenty of time for a long lunch, or if you prefer, particularly if the weather is bad, you may take the cable-car back down to Stans, where you may spend some time wandering around this lovely old town. Once you have boarded the coach again, the tour will conclude in Lucerne.
