Porto Santo is a city in Madeira.
Tourism
The 9km long sandy beach is the main attraction for tourists.
Christopher Columbus married and lived there for some time. His house can still be visited today, as a museum.
The house became a museum and presents a permanent exhibition about Columbus' life and family ties with Porto Santo, as well as temporary art exhibitions.
The island has a golf course that is promoted by Spanish golfing champion Severiano Ballesteros. Porto Santo Golf Course is the largest course in the whole of the Madeira Archipelago and is able to accommodate 500 players at once. There are two 18-hole golf courses and one nine-hole course. Porto Santo golf complex, includes eight tennis courts and an equestrian center, circles Pico Ana Ferreira.
Porto Santo has several schools, a lyceum, a gymnasium, several churches, a square (praça), a Congress Centre, a museum, shopping centres, bars, and restaurants.

The town of Evora has been developing itself without losing its primitive characteristics. That's why it deserved this "prize" from UNESCO. After leaving Lisbon, you will drive to Evora by the countryside roads of Alentejo, for a beautiful sightseeing tour by car.
In Evora, you will have enough time to walk its historical center and "feel" the atmosphere of this town. You will visit its famous Roman Temple and the interior of Evora's University, founded in the 16th century. Here, besides the possibility of admiring its architectural aspects, you will feel the true environment of the Portuguese student youth.
This is a unique experience, however it's not the only original visit. When your guides were walking in Evora, they found an amazing contemporary handicraft studio and today they will share this experience with you. This is an "off the beaten track" visit (closed on Sundays).
After Evora, you will visit Vila Vicosa, land of Marble and of the Braganca Family Palace. This family reigned in Portugal between 1640 and 1910 (date of the end of monarchy), from this palace.
In Vila Vicosa, you will find various references to the marble because in this region there are many stone quarries. Besides the visit to the center of Vila Vicosa, where you will find interesting patrimony, you can also visit the Palace, built in the 16th century with magnificent furniture, belonging to the Braganca Family.
