Quarteira
Quarteira (pron. or kwɐɾ'tɐiɾɐ) is a Portuguese city and a parish, located in the municipality of Loulé. It has a population of 16,131 inhabitants and a total area of 37.78 Km². Quarteira is a city since May 13 of 1999.
It is a coastal city and a popular tourist destination, with 2 Km of Blue Flag beach. The current President of the parish council is José Coelho Mendes.
