The most prestigious of the Nobel prizes - the Peace prize - is awarded in Oslo each year. Highlights of this tour include visits to the Nobel Peace Center - the annual host of the Nobel Peace Prize on the Aker Brygge waterfront. The presentation ceremony has been held in Oslo since 1901, when the first prize was awarded to the Swiss founder of the International Red Cross.
You will also visit the Oslo City Hall with a focus on Fridtjof Nansen and Alfred Nobel. Continue to the Holocaust Center and the Thor Heyerdahl Museum Kon-Tiki ,which is dedicated to the balsa raft which Norwegian explorer Heyerdahl used to sail from Peru to Polynesia in 1947.
