Eat
  • Karolas, close to the bank/ATM 2 km from the national park. Beautiful outdoors restaurant. Try the catch of the day, usually mahi mahi (dorado or dolphin fish), with mango butter. The fish in coco, the lomito and the lobster are also good choices. The shrimps are ordinary and you may well leave them alone. If it is in season, try the mango daiquiri, it is superb. The Macadamia nut pie is also a treat. Cocktails 2100 Colones, main course 5500. Recommended. ATTENTION: Karolas is now closed. The land was sold to a developer and as of February, 2007, condos are under construction.

  • Las Gemelas, 2nd floor, close to the park. Really slow service, but cheap food. Ok for lunch while visiting the park. Casados for 1300 Colones.
