San Pedro

San Pedro is a part of Los Angeles located in the Harbor Area. It lies immediately east of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County.

At the southern end of the Harbor Freeway (CA-110), or take the Vincent Thomas Bridge into San Pedro.

  • San Pedro Vintage Red Car Line. Red Car hours of operation are from 10 AM to 6 PM, Friday through Monday. The $1 all-day fare includes unlimited rides and is transferable for free rides on the San Pedro Electric Trolley, which connects passengers to downtown San Pedro and Cabrillo Beach areas. Free parking is available at the Downtown Station at 6th Street, Ports O' Call Station at Sampson Way and Marina Station at 22nd Street. (310) 732-3473.

    Manatee Watch and Barrier Reef Snorkel 7 hours

    You will be picked up by a fast speedboat in Belize City and first taken to the nearby Manatee breeding grounds at Swallow Caye. You are almost certain to see one or several of these docile and protected sea mammals.

    You will then continue to a small remote island which is perched right on Belize's Great Barrier Reef, a true picture postcard tropical paradise.

    Snorkel off the pristine sandy beach with your instructors for that wonderful "Cousteau Experience", or just swim in cool waters, or relax under a palm tree. A beach picnic lunch and refreshments are served. Snorkel equipment included.

    What would Robinson Crusoe do if he suddenly found himself marooned in the midst of a rainforest?

    Learn the ingenious 'Survivor' skills and secrets to managing this kind of a situation from instructors who have done such things first hand! Your experienced jungle guides will teach you how to make fire using only a machete and a piece of Bamboo. Learn to identify sources of water and how to produce it. Rappel from the hill top to the valley below.

    You will then visit Robinson Crusoe's jungle style dwelling made from all natural materials - vines, branches and the bark of various trees.

    After lunch, your experienced guides will brief you on safety procedures for ATV handling and issue protective gear and helmets. Explore the jungles of Belize on trails laid out over 100 years ago by loggers in search of precious Mahogany trees.

    The trails are a good mix of various challenging terrain leading to the stop of the day - the Maya Caves. Here you explore caves once used by the Maya thousands of years ago. As you explore the cave, be on the look out for ancient ceramic pots forgotten for centuries.
