The Nuuksio National Park is about 45 minute drive from Helsinki and covers a large area of beautiful Finnish nature. The park forms part of the large Nuuksio lake uplands, a region that has survived in an almost natural state. There are 38 lakes and ponds in the park and a lot of berries and mushrooms grow there during the summer and fall. In the area there live a large amount of birds, moose and deer. During the tour a professional nature guide will tell about the features of Finnish nature. You will see a part of the park and take a one to one and a half hour 1.8 miles (3 kilometres) walk along forest paths. After the walk there is time to enjoy coffee and tea and Finnish sweet bread by an open fire in a traditional Lappish kota tent and take a quick dip in the lake.
