Kamakura Walking Tour including the Great Buddha 8 hours

Great Buddha statue of Kamakura Board a local train on 'Yokosuka Line' (approx. 55 min.) to Kamakura, then take a train on Eno-den line to Hase where you will visit the Great Buddha, a bronze image measuring 11.4 meters in height at Kotokuin Temple. Proceed to the Hase Kannon Temple with its gilt statue of Kannon, from which a view of the town and the Pacific Ocean is obtained.

Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch at local restaurant. After lunch you have the option to take either a 'Rickshaw' ride (traditional man-pulled carriage) or a train trip on the 'Eno-den' line to the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (Select preference at time of booking).

Walk through the Wakamiya-Oji , the approach to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. After passing through the red second torii gate , a comfortable clay walkway continues to the third torii. Passing through the Torii gate by 'Rickshaw'.

Walk back to Kamakura Station via Komachi Shopping Street with some art and craft shops.

A promenade section called Nakamise-dori is basically both sides of narrow, paved entranceway to the temple crammed with tiny food and souvenir shops.

Ginza Shopping District

Afternoon Tour of the Ghibli Museum in Tokyo 4.5 hours

Take a local train to Mitaka to the Ghibli Museum which was opened in 2001 and stands on in the 4000 acre site in the green park. The three story building, two above ground and one underground, houses various exhibits, play space, movie theater, restaurant and shops. The museum especially caters for children and Ghibli Characters are used in a fun way throughout the museum.

After the museum transfer to Kichijoji by local bus where you will have some free time in the biggest shopping center in West Tokyo. The tour concludes on arrival back at Tyoko Station at approximately 6:00pm
