Our Favourite Dive Sites

Local Reef Sites:
The Nursery: This beautiful sheltered area is ideal for beginners. A sandy bowl surrounded with coral bommies, it is home to hundreds of brightly colored juvenile reef fish. Max depth: 12m
Aquarium: Inside our beautiful lagoon, this sheltered site is perfect for diver training. Coral bommies scattered along a gentle sandy slope. Max depth: 12m.
Koronivuli: This means school in Fijian â?? and this is another of our shallow, sheltered dive sites perfect for training beginners and as a first dive for those who are a little anxious about getting back in the water! Max depth: 15m.
Pipe: A gorgeous wall dive near one of our favorite surf spots. A gentle slope leads out to approx. 10-12m and then the wall drops away to 30+ meters. Covered in beautiful hard and soft coral, shelter for hundreds of species of fish and countless invertebrates â?? this wall is also favorites for some of the bigger players too. Max depth: 30m
Backpipe: Much like itâ??s sister dive (see above), this site offers a steeper wall that drops away even more dramatically. Schooling fusiliers and chevron barracuda cruise along the wall and large snapper hang in the swell along the top of the reef. Max depth: 30m
Tukini: Wall dive - great visibility. Hidden caverns along the wall. Fun to explore. Great sea fans, beautiful hard coral. Close encounters with turtles.
Twilight Zone: Deep drift dive - experienced divers. Schools of barracuda, eagle rays, lionfish - leopard sharks on the bottom.

Beqa Lagoon Sites:
Frigates Passage: The remote location, means that the coral cover and health of the reef at Frigates is second to none. Huge soft coral growths, giant gorgonian fans and ancient black coral bushes, offer shelter to hundreds of fish species. Subject to some pretty exciting currents â?? this is a dive for PADI Advanced divers only â?? but definitely worth the 45 minute trip out there!
Caesarsâ?? Rocks: A series of spectacular coral heads riddled with tunnels and caverns. Covered in soft corals of every imaginable colour! Huge gorgonians and black coral bushes ensure great photo opportunities. Schools of small bait fish mingle with batfish, turtles and rays. A stunning dive site, that enchants all visiting divers.
Side Streets: An infamous dive site consisting of dozens of coral heads covered in so much life â?? almost too much to take in on 10 dives â?? let alone 1! Hard and soft corals and gorgonians in vivid colors of reds, yellows, purples and pinks cover every available surface of the reef. Canyons and Gorgeous swim-throughs harbor giant black coral bushes and sea whips. All this is home to myriad species of multi-hued fish ranging from the Imperial Angel through to the white tip reef sharks that cruise around this paradisiacal dive site.
Seven Sisters: Beqa Lagoon delivers yet again with this fabulous aquarium-like dive site. Huge abundance and variety of hard corals and tropical reef fish make this a marine biologists dream! Clowns, damsels, butterflies, angels, lionfish, Moorish idols, surgeonfish galore, batfish, snapper, triggers, trumpetâ?¦.you name it Seven Sisters has it.
TASU II Wreck: Deliberately sunk in 1994, TASU II was a 200 ton Taiwanese fishing vessel. She sits upright, on a sandy bottom, in about 25m of water next to Yanuca Island. A well protected spot â?? the visibility at this site is usually excellent and the opportunity for underwater photo enthusiasts is fantastic. Slowly but surely she is being turned into an artificial reef and already provides shelter to many reef fish and juveniles. Sponges and corals are starting to encrust her and every passing year she becomes more and more beautiful in her mantle of living reef.
3 Nuns: Three large coral bommies encrusted with soft corals of every imaginable color. Schools of anthias dart in and out of the corals protection as larger colorful surgeons- and parrotfish chase them.
Fantasea: An aptly named site â?? the most stunning display od sorf corals and anemones completely cover this stunning pinnacle. An undercut ledge is hom to massive gorgonians. Trul a fantasia of colours and textures!
Golden Arch: A series of coral bommies with a massive archway to swim through. Encrusted with fans and black coral bushes â?? this is a glorious dive with plenty of stunning coral and diversity of reef fish.

â?¦.to name but a few â?? or come exploring with us! Miles and miles of never been dived before reef walls to drift along! Just come and see us at the Dive Centre.
